How a Solo Vocal Gets Captured on Yours Faithfully by OneNamedPeter
A Brighton Songwriter Records Every Part Himself, From the Opening Greeting to the Closing Song
There is no band in the room when OneNamedPeter records. The Brighton songwriter writes, performs and produces his music alone, and he makes the videos and the artwork too. Yours Faithfully, released by OneNamedPeter on 25 September 2026, is his eighth album made that way: eleven songs in just under 36 minutes, with one voice carrying all of them.
OneNamedPeter’s opening greeting, Dear Me, sits in our acoustic playlist below, and every article about him sits on his artist profile. Yours Faithfully came to this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news desks. Put it on, then read on.

OneNamedPeter Puts the Hook of Yours Faithfully Early, With Three Singles After a Short Greeting
The album opens on Dear Me, a sketch of 95 seconds. Then the songs most listeners already know arrive one after another. Click comes second, followed by The Loneliest Boy in Tokyo and United Nations. He had already released all three as singles before the album appeared.
That sequencing is a deliberate kind of hook. Instead of saving the familiar songs for later, the record puts them straight after the greeting, so a new listener meets the familiar songs first. Click was the last single before release, issued on 11 September, a fortnight before the album. His own notes for the album describe it as spare acoustic guitar and a sweet, pure vocal set against an armoury of clicks, whirrs and glitches.
Each of those singles came with its own video on his YouTube channel. The clip for United Nations went up the day before the song reached streaming services, and the clip for Click did the same. The Loneliest Boy in Tokyo, the longest song at four minutes and 25 seconds, got its video on release day in April. For a one-person project, that is a lot of extra work, because the same person who recorded the song also made the film.
The pattern continued after release. A video for Float On, one of the songs that had not been a single, went up on 3 October. Before the album came out, a 112-second trailer had already stitched the videos and music together into a single preview.

Where the Lyric Lives on Yours Faithfully, in a Vocal OneNamedPeter Records Take by Take
On a record like this, the vocal is where the words either land or do not. There is no producer on the other side of the glass to say when a take is good enough, so he makes that call himself. In a 2022 interview with Lost in the Manor, he said his best vocal usually arrives around the seventeenth take, once he has stopped trying too hard.
The lyrics are written for that relaxed delivery. Dear Me opens the album as a letter he writes to himself, beginning I hope this letter finds you well/ the weather here is cold as hell. By the end of the verse he signs it, folds it in three and addresses the envelope to himself. Short, rhyming lines like these sound like speech when they are sung without strain.
Click runs on the same economy: You’re the glue/ that makes me stick/ you and me/ we just click. Meanwhile United Nations, the first song he ever wrote, as a teenager, has been through many versions since. It now ends on the refrain no more battle stations/ we’re united nations.
The wordplay goes furthest at the close. Love Is ends the album on a bare vocal, and its last line splits a word in two: love is one great con… tradiction. It is a small joke, and it works because the voice is captured plainly enough for the pause to land.

The Running Order, From a 95-Second Greeting to a Closing Song Under Three Minutes
After the early run of singles, OneNamedPeter gives the middle of Yours Faithfully to new material. Renegade Angel, Float On and Night In the City follow one another, and none of them had appeared before. Float On opens on a sunrise over Brighton beach, his home town, and Night In the City answers it with a neon-lit night out. At two minutes and 36 seconds, it is the shortest full song.
The remaining singles then return in the second half. Strange-Eyed Constellations, which opened his year as a single on 1 January, sits at track eight. Its title comes from Thomas Hardy’s poem Drummer Hodge. When the Sky Is Blue sits at track ten, and its second version, the Celestial Version, followed the single a week later. Between them comes Tardis, another new song, and the album closes on Love Is, under three minutes long.
So the shape alternates between known and unknown. Familiar songs open the record, new ones carry the centre, and the two kinds trade places through the closing stretch. For an album assembled from a year of singles, that balance keeps it from feeling like a compilation.
AcousticMusic.News’s curator team: “Yours Faithfully is the sound of one person making every decision, from the take to the running order. Putting the singles straight after the greeting is a confident choice, and ending on a bare vocal pun shows how closely the words are crafted.”
